For a bespoke wedding gift for the couple marrying at Charleston farmhouse, the Bloomsbury inspiration that I work with on my keepsake boxes felt completely appropriate.

We chose a beautiful large antique box with unusual handles to be painted in a ‘something blue’ palette. A Charleston motif from the wedding invitations gave us our starting point and allowed us to include a little something of their actual wedding. We combined the Bloomsbury aesthetic with inspiration from antique marriage chests - a floral design circling the couples’ initials. On the underside of the lid we’ve painted a simple white wedding date.

It was an emotional moment for all of us finally sharing this piece on the occasion of their wedding and we wish them many happy years of making memories and adventuring together.
